Data notice
What we collect, and how to take it back
This is the standalone notice required by India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. It covers the email list — the only thing on this site that collects personal data about a named person. Nothing else is on this page on purpose.
Who is asking
Acsaven, operated by Samson P G. We are the Data Fiduciary for the data below. Contact: [email protected].
What you get for it
An occasional email when a new free tool or guide is published on Acsaven. That is the whole service. There is no account, no login, and nothing on this site is locked behind subscribing — the free downloads work without it.
Exactly what we collect
- Your email address — to send you those emails. Kept until you ask us to remove it.
- The date you subscribed — so we can show when consent was given if you ever ask.
- Which page you subscribed from — to know which guides are worth writing more of.
Nothing else. No name, no IP address stored against your subscription, no tracking pixel in the emails, and no profile built from what you read. We do not sell, rent or share the list, and we do not use it for advertising.
Two other things our servers briefly see, so this list is complete: rate-limiting the signup form and the one-vote-per-day check on tool ratings each hash your IP address under a secret key we rotate every day, held in a cache that expires by itself. Neither can be worked back to your address, and neither is linked to your subscription.
Taking your consent back
Email [email protected] and the record is deleted. No reason needed and no form to fill in — unsubscribing should not be harder than subscribing was. Withdrawing stops future emails; it does not undo emails already sent.
Your rights, and where to complain
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, correct it, have it erased, nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated, and raise a grievance with us — the full set is on the privacy page. Write to the address above; we answer within 30 days. If we get it wrong you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, and if you are in the EU or UK, to the regulator for your country of residence.
Children
The list is for adults — by subscribing you confirm you are 18 or over. We do not ask your age anywhere else, because nothing else here collects personal data. If a child has subscribed, tell us and the record is deleted. More on how we handle the Act’s children provisions.
This notice in your language
The Act gives you the option to read this notice in English or any language in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution. English is what we publish and the version we can stand behind word for word. For any of these, email [email protected] naming the language and we will send you a translation:
Assamese · Bengali · Bodo · Dogri · Gujarati · Hindi · Kannada · Kashmiri · Konkani · Maithili · Malayalam · Manipuri · Marathi · Nepali · Odia · Punjabi · Sanskrit · Santali · Sindhi · Tamil · Telugu · Urdu
We translate on request rather than publishing twenty-two versions, because a legal notice machine-translated into a language nobody here reads is not something we would put our name to — and a notice you cannot rely on is worse than one you have to ask for.
